Global Warming or Global Talking

gommo June 27th, 2007

Some interesting links regarding global warming and wether CO2 levels are really the cause. Although I’m totally against pumping millions of tonnes of CO2 into the air I’m also far from convinced stopping it will change world temperature patterns. And if it will, how long does that take?? No one seems to address that.

Anyway here are some links

Storms Ahoy

gommo June 11th, 2007

We just had a wild weekend of weather here in my home town. There’s a few pics below but my Picasa album has all the shots I took. The suburb where I live has had it’s main street and shopping plaza pretty much written off from flood waters (which where almost above my head). Our house was lucky though, we were only without power for a couple of days.

B’day presents early

gommo June 6th, 2007

I got some early b’day presents today. My local golf shop had a members only pre-stock take sale tonight. Although my wife was a little disappointed that I keep picking my b’day presents every year, she still let me pick up 2 nice new clubs.

I was quite impressed with the $$ amounts they had reduced the clubs by tonight. I definitely wasn’t expecting as good a discounts as I got.

I’m still learning to hit consistently and to get rid of my over the top move but I think these clubs will help. At the very least it’ll feel nice hitting a decent club instead of a newby one.

I’m a slicer like most golfers so this was an easy choice. I hit 5 different drivers and settled on this one. It also produced the highest swing speeds of the 5.

Cleveland 3i Halo
I’ve been using my 3 hybrid quite a bit lately. I’m not too good with it but I’m determined. Hopefully this version of the 3 hybrid will improve that slightly. Its a good quality club for an average golfer and the price was right :)

I’m working on some articles that may or may not ever see the light of day. In the mean time here’s a short blog post I found the other day listing the 3 most important things that improve code quality.
